Sample Libertarian comments:

With 24% of precincts reporting nationwide, Michael has 105,000 votes; Nader has almost 95,000, and Cobb only about 16,000. If Michael sniffs around 450,000-500,000 votes, that would be a very good showing – a firm improvement over the previous presidential campaign’s results, hence a plus for the LP. And at this point, we can have a little hope to match the COMBINED totals of Nader and Green nominee Cobb – now that would merit a little media attention if Michael could best the combined totals of the two leading leftists at the polls.

Man. Our own party doesn’t even know where to point us to get election results that list MB. I’m not so sure I voted for the right guy after all…

I didn’t vote for Badnarik because I thought he would get a high vote total. I voted for him because he was the only candidate that believes in freedom for the individual. If I was the only vote counted for Badnarik I would still be porud to have voted for him.

Here’s a prediction: we’ll lose 3rd place by about 50k. Too bad, guys. Let’s do better next time. We need to be a little less radical, and a little more palatable to the people. I know lots of people who have heard of libertarians, but won’t vote for us because the idea of such a huge reduction in government scares them. But most of those people agree that a smaller reduction (10-30%) would be great. We can offer that, nobody else will. And I would hope that all libertarians would agree that 30% less is a lot better than the ever increasing government we will get under republicrats.
