McIntyre vs. Dreier
Tuning around the radio after voting, I heard KABC's Doug McIntyre interviewing David Dreier. If Dreier thought he could get a warm reception outside of John and Ken, he was wrong. A few lowlights:
- Drier wanted to have a lengthy conversation after the election. McInytre started the conversation immediately.
- Dreier is convinced that a secure Social Security card (the Bonner plan) will wipe out 98% of all illegal immigration. (I can see it now; a truck drives up to a day laborer area, and the truck driver starts checking social security cards. Yeah, right.)
- Dreier denied that he had filed the FEC complaint against John and Ken, then launched into a lengthy defense of the NRCC's complaint. McIntyre is hurt that the NRCC didn't sue HIM.
- When asked about David March, Dreier said he had his 15th meeting with Mexico yesterday on the subject. (That says it all, doesn't it?)
- Most damning - when McIntyre asked if Dreier supported Bush's guest worker program, Dreier said that he supports the concept. He's a worse flip-flopper than Kerry, that's for sure.
