Acurasy is Importent

Let's take a survey:

Williams shot an unarmed 7-Eleven teenage store clerk named Alvin Owens in the head twice during a 1979 robbery that netted $120.

He was convicted of murdering cashier Alvin Owens, 26, in a February 1979 robbery at a 7-11 store which netted only $120.

In 1979, Williams robbed a 7-11 store in South Central Los Angeles. During that robbery he shot and killed Alvin Owens, whose misfortune it was to be working as the store's cashier at the time.

My comments:

  • I'm sure that the citizens of Whittier and Pico Rivera would be surprised to learn that they live in South Central - whoops, I mean South Los Angeles. Although the idea that Richard Nixon went to college in the 'hood is somewhat amusing. "Wiretapping Was the Case," indeed.

  • Needless to say, one cannot be a 26 year old teenager.

  • And, most importantly (and most distressingly to Owens' stepmother) - it's Albert, not Alvin.
