If Nixon Had Written Children's Books...(or, I give Mike Farrell a Pass on This One)
Strange Justice links to Intellectual Conservative, which details the large list of people who protested the execution of John B. Nixon, Sr.:
- National Coalition Against the Death Penalty
- "a Canadian anti-death penalty group"
- Amnesty International
There are many that are complaining that this was a limited response - in fact, some claim that it's a racist response - to this execution as opposed to some other execution that happened at about the same time. And there's some wondering about why Mike Farrell didn't fly to Mississippi.
It turns out that there may be a logical explanation for the latter. If you look at Mike Farrell's website, deathpenalty.org, it has a particular focus - and it's not a focus on black death row inmates.
