Empoblog Visited by California Attorney General Candidate

I received the following comment in one of the Oba Saint Stanley Tookie Williams posts in my blog:

"This appeal for clemency comes after more than twenty years of appeals, exhaustive judicial review, and public scrutiny. In evaluating this case we must not forget the four victims who were shot, by a shot gun that records show was owned by Mr. Williams, their families, and the underlying brutal nature of the acts which Mr. Williams has yet to show remorse." –Pierre Richard Prosper

Turns out that Prosper is running for Attorney General of California (which is an elective office in this state). Here are excerpts from his biography:

Pierre Prosper has directly advised President George W. Bush as well as Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice and General Colin Powell. Prosper informed U. S. policy responses during the earliest stages of the War on Terror as well as atrocities committed in areas of conflict. As President Bush's envoy, Prosper negotiated with heads of state, senior intelligence and military officials from around the world to help secure peace, build stability and expand the rule of law in fledgling democracies. Prosper, a lead prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, achieved the first successful conviction for Genocide, and Rape as a Crime Against Humanity. The fourteen month trial was a groundbreaking success for the rights of women, ethnic and religious minorities in developing countries and those threatened by oppressive regimes across the globe. Prosper's legacy is his dedication to conservative values and dominant American principles of equal justice under the law.

...As Assistant US Attorney for the Central District of California, based in Los Angeles, Prosper investigated and prosecuted major international drug cartels. Prosper was assigned to the Narcotics Section, Drug Enforcement Task Force. After September 11th, California needs an Attorney General that understands the drug cartels as well as human trafficking. Border security is critical to public safety. With the emergence of MS13's influence, Prosper's knowledge is critical. Prior to joining the US Attorney's office, Prosper confronted the brutality that exists on the streets of Los Angeles. Deputy District Attorney Prosper spent years in the Hardcore Gang Division of the Bureau of Special Operations where he prosecuted gang-related murders....

Bill Lockyer, I'm waiting for your response (although Prosper and Lockyer agree on the Tookie case).
