Random Band...Random Disappointment

Somehow or another I surfed to this LA Weekly article from 1999 entitled "The life and premature death of Mary’s Danish."

Band signs indie label deal, indie label doesn't support band, band dies. Some band members form new band, get major label deal, their supporter gets fired, band gets dropped, band dies.

Despite my wonderful summary, I urge you to read the story anyway.
