Leaping Lizards
Ah, my youth. I'm getting blog hits from One More Cup of Coffee, and I'm not sure why, but it may have something to do with this:

There are times leaping is mandatory, and there are times it is underlyingly so.

I took a leap of faith, of hope, of fear, of whatever you want to say, and the landing spot looks like Portland, Oregon.

Reed College and I seemingly like each other, and I am overflowed with joy.

It reminded me of the moment when I decided which college I wanted to attend. It was during a college visit to a college that seemed to be intellectually stimulating. I was talking with a student in the hall, or in the bathroom, or somewhere like that, when I decided that I wanted to go to this college.

So I did.

I just hope that Francesca is prepared to either conform to non-conformity, or to non-conform by conforming, and to exist in the topsy-turvy emotional world that is Reed. (And you probably don't want to subscribe to U.S. News and World Report while you're there. Just a guess.)
