How to Get the Clap While Watching TV

After that title, I probably shouldn't say that I was reading a Genetic Mishap post when I remembered this device:

In essence, it uses the same sonic technology as this old favorite:

CLAP ON! CLAP OFF! CLAP ON! CLAP OFF! THE CLAPPER!

The clapper is activated by sound sensory and will turn on or off any two appliances plugged into it. The Clapper itself is plugged into your wall. When activated by the sound of your clapping, it will control up to two appliances and turn them on or off, depending on the number of times you clap.

This product is perfect for those hard-to-reach switches or for when you don't want to get out of bed to turn off the lamp or television. Plus, The Clapper now includes "clap indication lights" to aid with proper clapping, and a "sensitivity dial" to increase or decrease The Clapper's sensitivity to your unique clap.

The Clapper can also be set up to activate when it hears any sound. Naturally, this wouldn't be good when you're home, but it is a great theft deterrent when you're out. If someone tries to enter your house, The Clapper can automatically turn on a light, TV or radio in your home.

I've never seen it, but Animaniacs featured a parody product entitled The Slapper:
