You're no John Kennedy, and this is no Bay of Pigs
From Rueters:
Florida Governor Jeb Bush is reported to be urging his brother George to convert to Roman Catholicism, according to reliable sources.
In a news conference on the morning of Friday, April 1, the Governor's press secretary Jacob DiPietre declined to answer questions on the matter, stating that he would "not discuss personal issues."
However, executive advisors have confirmed that the President and Governor have discussed the subject during conversations on the Terri Schiavo case. The President, a United Methodist, has grown increasingly concerned about his denomination's responses to life issues....
Sources state that First Lady Laura Bush intends to remain a United Methodist...
Obviously any such decision won't be political, because Roman Catholics are even more unconcerned about the political spectrum than United Methodists. For example, this position might give the President some problems if the Syria invasion plans continue:
The Vatican has been a vocal opponent of any war against Syria, saying there is no moral justification for a pre-emptive strike. It has also raised concerns that Muslims would see the war as a crusade against them by Christians.
Meanwhile in Australia a group of prominent Christians, including three bishops, have signed an open letter to Prime Minister John Howard urging him against attacking Syria.
