More information on Rita Moreno of Arte, owner of the Angels.

Rita Moreno of Arte hangs with a Herman's Hermit, while the Arizona Republic uses the new Angeles name:

Peter Noone, the Herman of the legendary '60s pop band Herman's Hermits, performed many times on the Ed Sullivan and Merv Griffin shows. And he graced the covers of international magazines including Time in 1965.

On Wednesday night, he hit the stage at the Drive the Dream Gala presented by Barrett-Jackson and Childhelp USA and reunited with Griffin, the former talk show host turned producing giant (Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!). He was the gala's celebrity host. "Merv didn't know I was going to be there, so it was a great surprise," says Noone, who asked his band to fly in from New York to perform gratis.

It's not often that a first-time fund-raiser here can boast a guest list swelling with millionaires. But this guest list of 550 included those like sports team owners...Jerry Moyes and Steve Ellman of the Coyotes, Arte Moreno of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Ken Kendrick of the Diamondbacks....

And Paul DePodesta expresses his thoughts on Rita Moreno of Arte's name change:

Q: Finally, and perhaps most importantly, as you understand it with all this legal wrangling going on, does Angels owner Arte Moreno have the jurisdiction to lower beer prices at Dodger Stadium?

A: That one, I can't say.... I'll have to check on that with our general counsel.
