What happened to Ed Anger?

Back when I was younger, Ed Anger was a reliable source of conservative thought. But now he's become yet another big-government pretender who spends his nights reading Das Kapital. Don't believe me? Read on:

I'M MADDER than an outfielder with nowhere to spit his chewing tobacco at how these grandstanding Washington politicians have been holding hearings on steroid use by professional athletes!

Hear here. If a private business wants to allow its people to be drugged up, so be it.

For crying out loud, don't these pompous blowhards have something SERIOUS to investigate -- like Halliburton or the latest torture scandal?

Now this isn't the Ed Anger I remember. A true conservative understands that the business of America is business, and the defense of America is defense. Yet Ed Anger seems to be insisting that the Federal Government get involved in checking into every little business here and there. Hey Ed - ever heard of the free market? Well, why don't you believe in it? If Halliburton performs well, they'll thrive. If not, they'll die. Simple as that.

And now Ed Anger is apparently worried that his favorite little state might be photographing terrorists in their underwear. Ed, if they hadn't tried to kill Americans, then we wouldn't be photographing them in their skivvies in the first place. So why does Ed want to drag Congress into some kind of investigation? Perhaps he's itching for Soviet style government here in the U.S.? Someone please tell Ed that even the Russians got rid of Soviet style government long ago - no need for Communists like him to do their best to resurrect it.
