End of the Eisner Era

Former Walt Disney Co Chief Executive Michael Eisner has relinquished his board seat, Disney said on Thursday, severing his ties to the company...months earlier than expected.

The board resignation, which Disney announced in a securities filing, was made on September 30 -- the same day Eisner handed over executive control of the entertainment giant to his successor, Robert Iger.
