David Dreier has been in Congress for 24 years. His party controls the House, and the Senate, and the Presidency. Dreier chairs the House Rules Committee. He has the ear of the Governor of California, and he has the ear of the President.

If he can't get something done NOW, he has no excuse. You don't suddenly lose a lot of power if Cynthia Matthews comes into office.

The proper response to this is a wacky radio stunt.
