This is an ex-trout

I've been going through my blogroll - something I haven't done in a while - and ran across this from Shrinkette:

Nurse struck off for slapping colleague with dead trout

It's not a Monty Python sketch.

Here's the story:

The Nursing and Midwifery Council found Patricia Ann Jennings guilty of misconduct as a result of her poor practice and deeply offensive behaviour, which also included groping other staff on her ward.

The council's professional conduct committee found Ms Jennings, 55, behaved in an inappropriate sexual manner while she was working as a ward manager at the Kent and Sussex hospital, Tunbridge Wells.

The panel found the nurse had groped colleagues on the ward on several occasions and slapped the face of one with a dead trout saying "give us a kiss" or words to that effect.

It also upheld allegations that she wrapped a bandage around the head of a ward clerk whilst making a telephone call and referred to another nurse as a "dirty bitch".

The disciplinary hearing also heard that Ms Jennings had repeatedly lied in 2003 about beds not available on the ward when they were, and pretended she had taken a refresher course on how to handle patients.

In case anyone's keeping score, this is not patient centered.
