Wibloggers on the London Explosions

Got this link yesterday, but didn't realize I'd need it today.

From The Geek Times:

My thoughts are with anyone who has been affected by the terrorist actions in London today, whether they have lost loved ones, been injured themselves, or are finding it difficult to get home. I hope this does no increase any animosity towards any religious community, but instead galvanises both Christians and Muslims to fight against extremists of all persuasions.

From Unordered:

I heard on the radio that 'something' had happened at a train station in London. There were conflicting reports, something about 'a bang', something about 'nothing to worry about,' something about, 'we'll have to wait and see'. It's so far away. Why are they reporting about London. Then it's all over the tele, glimpses here and there about explosions on the bus and trains, sight of CPR being done on an unconscious man, naked from what I can see, arms limp, flailing around as they beat at his chest....

Channel 10's gone on with Law and Order. Channel 7 a bit later goes back to the cricket. There's this strange sense that everything is the same, and yet everything is different, like reality has shifted a bit in a different part of the puzzle, so that the picture is different now.

From Singular Scene:

I was standing looking down on an arena of 18,000 people, hands raised, faces aglow in the blaze of lights and the glory of God. An extraordinary event, led by an extraordinary worship leader.

Many Tears. Repentance and Joy.

And then an announcement.

And heartfelt prayers, united in silence. And Shock.

Travelling home, listening to the reports of sadness, so hot on the heels of Olympic joy, I cried.

And cried....

From the aptly named heartbreaking work of staggering tiredness:

I could claim to be temporarily speechless

But i've just written 600 words so that can't be true. I'm praying for all those caught up in these horrific events this morning, one of which took place about three minutes walk from our office. I've spent the last hour wandering round the Square Mile with a photographer and a press card, but this hasn't made me feel any less numb.

Lord, comfort those who mourn. Strengthen those who are frightened. Stay the hatred of those whose fear will quickly turn to thoughts of revenge. Heal your nation.

From Classical Jaz:

From Edinburgh to London

As the son of a Londoner, I want to cry, but the tears don't come. Who has done this, and why? God help us all.
