The Repeated Use of "Whilst" in this Entry is Intentional
Whilst listening to Ladytron's Witching Hour repeatedly over the last twenty hours - whilst driving (via an intentionally circuitous route) back to work from the Best Buy in Yorba Linda - whilst driving from work back home to Ontario - whilst spending yesterday evening driving around beautiful Mira Loma - whilst driving (via a non-intentionally circuitous route - dang 83 construction) back to work from home this morning - I have managed to, in the words of Summer Sanders, "figure it out."
Ahem (or, in American terms, "Four score"):
Brian Eno, in an attempt to make amends with Tina Weymouth, treated her to a posh evening at a Sofia disco in which Alan Wilder was a very visible investor. At approximately three o'clock in the morning, whilst most (but not all) of the crowd was in the process of leaving the disco, stuff began to happen.
I guess this is as good an explanation as any, and if nothing else explains how multi-generational appeal can help a band. It sure didn't hurt the Beatles.
Thoughts?
