English football people...and golfing people, and horse racing people
I could be analyzing the Pauline issues (see Jennifer's recent post on Pauline authorship of the Epistle to the Ephesians).
I could be analyzing the influences of Paul McCartney and Prince on TLC. (And no, TLC didn't "steal" McCartney's lyrics, any more than Devo "stole" Lennon's lyrics in their song "Some Things Never Change." For perspective, see George Harrison's "This Song.")
I could be analyzing Rick Warren. (I have my reasons.)
But instead, I'm going to analyze English football people.
While Blogpatrol has been iffy, it turns out that this blog has become one of the major sources of information about Hayley McQueen. (Korpi schmorpi, I guess.) In fact, a Digital Spy thread prominently mentioned a post in this blog. Here are excerpts from the thread:
Who is she.....
.....the blonde girl presenting Sky Sports News at Ten....... !!!!!

Gordon McQueen's daughter... Kenny Dalglish's daughter...
Hmm. Can anyone feel a pattern coming on here?
Terry Yorath's daughter.........
Bernard Gallagher's daughter............
I reckon Gordon did the best job.............
Ian Balding's daughter..........
Now people across the pond are in the utmost state of hilarity at this point, whereas I (who barely know Rafael Benitez) am pretty much saying, "Huh?" So let's review:
Gordon McQueen actually played much of his career at Leeds before moving to Manchester United. Leeds now regards him as a traitor. And apparently dad has a Sky Sports presence also.
Kenny Dalglish, MBE (hey, McCartney finally got a knighthood nyah nyah nyah) is, like McQueen, from Scotland. He left Celtic to play for Liverpool, and eventually managed several teams. His name is connected to the Hillsborough disaster (instead of the Who in Cincinnati, think Robin Hood and football/soccer players and you'll get the drift, but this was much worse than the Cincinnati event - at the Hillsborough disaster, 96 people died). His daughter is Kelly Dalglish.
Terry Yorath is a Welsh football player (where's the Northern Irish player? or is that coming?). In this Wikipedia article, his daughter Gabby Logan is mentioned in the second paragraph of dad's article.
Bernard Gallacher, the golfer, is an OBE. Ringo never got that one. But I don't know that Ringo ever had back pain. (If he did, the treatment only made him sneeze.) His daugher Kirsty Gallacher has branched out into non-sports presenting.
Ian Balding is a horse trainer. His son, Andrew, has...um...taken the reins from his father. Daugher Clare Balding works for the BBC.
