From the Daily Bulletin:

A proposal to build the first Internet cafe in the city was rejected by the (Chino Hills) planning commission on Tuesday, after owners near the proposed "Click and Connect" complained that the business would attract criminal activity and scare off clients.

News bulletin to Chino Hills...there's a PRISON less than a mile east of your town. Don't tell anyone, though, or they may not shop in your fair city.

Second news bulletin to Chino Hills...does that mean that if K Mart wanted to re-open their store in your fair city, you'd refuse to let them do so?

I've soured on K-Mart over the years. Back in 1991, when my daughter was born, the first place that we went after my wife left the hospital was to the K-Mart in Chino Hills (yes, that very K-Mart that closed a few years later). You see, we didn't know if the baby was going to be a boy or a girl, so we bought two outfits initially and returned the boy outfit that day.

As time passed, K-Mart hit hard times, people stopped coming, and they stopped maintaining the places. In addition to the Chino Hills K-Mart, they closed two other K-Marts in our area. One is now a J C Penney furniture store, and the other was torn down to make room for a Costco.
