You Are Warned - Now I'M About To Get Girly (but I've included an explosion at the end of this entry)

I was reading Tara Lynn Johnson's Fortune Cookie Friday (good idea for a syndicated column, innit?) and ran across this statement:

On first read, this statement was confusing, as I noted:

I am unfamiliar with "philosophy products." I assume this is some sort of brand name (I will better myself and find out about them), and that you're not asking for eighteenth century volumes on the meaning of existence to be delivered to your door gratis....

Even before Tara responded, I did investigate and found the following at philosophy.com:
