And since we're speaking Scots...

From paradiseblogs.info:

HAYLEY NEWS (Daily Record)

STUNNING sports presenter Hayley McQueen has vowed to carry on the good work started by her predecessor Kelly Dalglish. Hayley - whose dad is Scots football legend Gordon - is taking over the hot seat from Kelly, who has fronted Sky Sports News coverage since the channel's launch.

I missed this September tidbit:

EXCLUSIVE: KEL'S FAREWELL

KELLY DALGLISH has quit her 100,000-a-year job as a presenter with Sky Sports to devote more time to her new fiance. The Sky Sports News presenter handed in her notice on Tuesday and will make her final appearance next month.

The Daily Record ran something in September that talked about family connections:

RICHARD Keys. There's a name which opens doors. But not as much as the other presenters on Sky Sports - Hayley McQueen (daughter of Gordon), ex-Ryder Cup great Bernard Gallacher's daughter, Kirsty, Kelly Dalglish and Chris Boardman, son of, er, Stan.

This week, a new TV talent was revealed - GMTV's new fashion reporter, Camilla Al Fayed.

Wow. What personal ability and life experience could have propelled Camilla to this golden opportunity?

According to CAlF: "This is a great honour. I've grown up with Lorraine Kelly."

No. You've grown up with Mohamed Al Fayed, owner of Harrods. Is that not why you got the job?...

Anyone who owns a Julian Lennon album will know how much the offspring of the rich and famous should go and find a proper job instead of leeching off mum or dad's fame.

Now hold it. "Too Late for Goodbyes" was a good song. But then things hit really close to (my) home:

Thank goodness family ties don't reach to the really important jobs like US President. Imagine how scary it would be if they gave it to some numpty just cos his dad had done it before.

At least George Bush may soon be replaced by someone clean from dodgy links to previous regimes. Step forward, Hillary Clinton.
