Giftmixer 3000 - All Comments Pre-Recorded
Since Rita Moreno of Arte is probably asleep, I took some time to read LA.com, which quoted The Rose Review:

L.A. is blessed with a bevy of Borders brick-and-mortars -- and sure, it can be a cool place to quaff a coffee, see Michael Crichton (as I did in the Westwood location), or read ten mags you can't really justify buying. But what if you really ARE there to buy something, for someone special, and you don't know what to get?

Never fear, 21st century tech is here. Try Borders' A.I. take on gift advice, the GIFT MIXER 3000. Think of it as Artificial Givintelligence. Or, Sir Mix AI Lot.

I thought it was gonna be silly, then I surfed to their site,
and lo and behold, turned out I was right.
But it's a GOOD silly.

Adjust the five sliders for your giftee's personality, and voila, you get a few choice recommendations of what to buy them. And a funny retort or two from the HAL9000-like voice behind the mix....

After playing with the GIFT MIXER 3000, I learned that Ashlee Simpson has an autobiography. Oh, wait...that's the title of her album. Kara Dioguardi provided the background vocals.

The younger sister of pop star/reality-TV icon Jessica Simpson, Ashlee Simpson has done nothing to hide her well-documented connection. However, to assume Ashlee is a carbon copy of her superstar sibling or simply trying to ride Jessica's coattails would be plain wrong. While Jessica sings straightforward, gentle pop tunes, Ashlee's music tends towards the angst-ridden and self-analytical, and where Jessica's vocals are light and bouncy, Ashlee explodes with a teen-punk roar.

With her debut record, AUTOBIOGRAPHY, Ashlee unveils a soul-searching sound that lies somewhere between the precocious explorations of Avril Lavigne and the jaded wanderings of Alanis Morissette. The opening single "Pieces of Me" features an ever-changing musical landscape, with Ashlee's powerful voice fading in and out like the love story of the song itself. The title track boasts a sinister guitar opening and a crunching rock riff offset by a huge melodic hook. AUTOBIOGRAPHY may surprise some people, but it's simply a solid pop-rock debut by a talented artist, regardless of famous family ties.

Voices are always powerful under perfect pre-recorded conditions.
