A timely joke


This is timely, at least for readers in the United States. My late mother in law, who was a tax prepared, used to post the first half of this joke in her office.

In order to simplify tax collections in the near future, the IRS will issue a new easier to use tax form. They call it the 1040 Xtra EZ. After your name, address, and Social Security number, it has only four lines on two pages:

1040 Xtra EZ To Do Tax Form
US Government. Form Scru-u-R

Page I.

1. How much money did you make this year? $________

2. SEND IT IN. $________

Page II

1. Take out a loan for more.

2. Send it all to us. $________

In which we enter the alternative universe in which police always believe dreadlocked individuals

I previously raised the question about whether Interference Inc. was prompt in letting the authorities know that the so-called bombs in Boston weren't bombs. Now a new question has been raised - was Peter Berdovsky prompt in letting Interference Inc. know that the guerilla marketing campaign had gone sour? And should he have informed the on-scene officers that there was nothing to worry about? The issue was raised because Berdovsky videotaped police at a (supposed) bomb site. This is what the Associated Press said : One of the men criminally charged after placing blinking cartoon advertisements around the city videotaped a police bomb squad removing one of the electronic devices, but did not tell the officers the object was harmless.
