Uh Huh!
The job of a father is to embarrass his children. For example, this evening I was explaining to my daughter that rap music existed when I was a teenager. Then I said:

Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to lose my head

Needless to say, rap backing music sounded different then. Listen to track 6 here.

P.S. While you're at it, check track 10. I still remember Poorman's comment on KROQ when he realized that this was an ANTI-drug song.

I haven't really seen any rap videos lately (the last one I remember, other than the Eminem stuff, was the one that Snoop did in South America), but they were really bad about 10-15 years ago. You could count on the stereotypical scene of a bunch of guys standing around a fire started in a trash can. Now that's riveting - a bunch of guys standing around a fire in a trash can.
