Stood up from poker and read the news

Here's the latest from New Brunswick:

Truckers were moving their vehicles away from barricades in northern New Brunswick on Thursday night to avoid receiving hefty traffic fines, a spokesman for the RCMP said late in the evening....

Sgt. Gary Cameron said as officers approached the independent truckers with tickets, they agreed to move their vehicles from the side of the Trans-Canada Highway in Saint-Jacques, near the Quebec border.

"Our members approached the blockade in Saint-Jacques. We told them we'd have to issue tickets for unlawful parking on the highway," said Cameron.

"The truckers without any hestitation agreed to move, and they've been moving ever since."

At about 9 p.m., a similar approach was taken in Grand Falls, in northwestern New Brunswick.

"Slowly but surely they're moving too," said Cameron....
