For Britney Spears (American Skankwoman) Fans

Sometimes you just gotta do stuff yourself.

I went to Annika's Journal to get the latest Britney Spears (American Skankwoman) gossip, and instead encountered the following message from the mu.nu folks who host Annika's, and other, journals:

Hi munu fans.
The munu server has blowed up. The various problems we've been having with spam floods and denial-of-service attacks and getting Farked have been real, but the reason they were killing the server was an intermittent drive failure.

That failure is no longer intermittent.

Our last full offsite backup was yesterday, so this could have happened at a worse time. I'm working on recovering any updates from the last few hours, and after that I'll be bringing things up on our backup server. This may take a few hours, so please bear with us.

(Yes, we have mirrored disks. If one of them had simply failed outright, this wouldn't have been a problem. Instead, it's gone completely mad, generating spurious errors and generally screwing things up.)

So, without Annika, I had to research my Britney Spears (American Skankwoman) material myself.

Is Britney Spears a bigamist?

A British talk-show host is claiming that he legally married the singer — and even though the nuptials were obviously a prank, he’s saying the vows may actually be binding.

British TV host Richard Bacon alleges that he legally tied the knot with Spears while interviewing her in a hotel room for the U.K. morning show “The Big Breakfast.”

“It was the first time she’d told anyone she’d split with [Justin] Timberlake and I had a bit of plan, as I had hoped to get the admission out of her about the split,” Bacon, who also has a British radio show, told his listeners. “I had a vicar waiting round the corner with a real marriage certificate. I went down on one knee in front of her and said ‘Would you marry me?’ and she said ‘Hey sure.’” Bacon says he called in the vicar, who had a legitimate marriage certificate, and they both signed it.

But after the show was over, “I’m walking off with the marriage certificate down the corridor when this massive security guard comes hurtling after me, takes it out of my hand and tears it up as he realized what I’d done and that it was legally binding,” Bacon says, and goes on to insist: “You can’t just get rid of it by tearing it up, which means I actually could still be legally married to Britney Spears, which means her marriage to Kevin doesn’t exist and that Britney Spears a bigamist.”

Spears’ rep however, dismisses Bacon’s claim, saying, “Sorry to break Richard’s heart, but Britney Spears is legally married to her husband Kevin Federline and is expecting their first child together very soon. I hope Richard is able to accept this and move on from what must be a confusing time for him.”

Let's look at Britney's Guide to Semiconductor Physics (cited here):

It is a little known fact, that Ms Spears is an expert in semiconductor physics. Not content with just singing and acting, in the following pages, she will guide you in the fundamentals of the vital laser components that have made it possible to hear her super music in a digital format.

From Xinhua, Britney Spears talks about sex:

Pop star Britney Spears revealed the sex of her unborn baby during a recent shopping trip in Los Angeles. She spent $11,000 on baby gear including clothes for a boy.

The "Toxic" singer, who is due to give birth next month, has yet to settle on a name for her child.

An insider tells The Sun: "They are mulling over several names but the one they favour is Preston."

But there may be a religous controversy between Britney Spears and one of her husbands:

Kevin Federline and Britney Spears, who will celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary on September 5, have been seeking some spiritual guidance.

While Britney has shown an interest in the Kabbalah in recent years, Kevin has been recently spotted carrying Chopra's THE BOOK OF SECRETS, which gives 15 spiritual pointers for enlightenment....
